More than it seems, the NFL, and football, in general, is a rather emotionally connected sport. Apart from the on-field rivalries, some stories usually turn out to be heart-touching. One such news came from the college football world, where the Ohio star recently underwent chemotherapy after being diagnosed with the rarest form of cancer.
Avery Henry shocked the football fraternity last year after disclosing the news in December 2022. Just like one could expect, it was a surprising moment. The Ohio lineman didn’t lose his courage and vowed to fight the disease. His latest health update certainly rejoiced the fans, who showered love and extended full support for the youngster.
It’s been roughly a month since my first chemo treatment. I want to keep you guys updated on the process. Yesterday my younger brother and I decided to shave our hair! I can’t thank you enough Dane. You may be my younger brother but in many ways I look up to you! 💛 #Averystrong pic.twitter.com/7ScbuSKSvn

According to the reports shared by The Spun, this is a rare form of bone cancer and will require early-stage treatment to cure the disease. Fortunately, Henry is having his time in medicare with fans praying for his well-being. Before playing for the Buckeyes, the lineman originally committed to Iowa State.
In his freshman season, Henry didn’t get to see any action. However, he remained with his teammates during the College Football Playoff Peach Bowl semifinal against Georgia. The OT happened to be a perfect fit for his position. He is 6-foot-6 and weighs 309 pounds.
When Henry shocked the NFL & football world by revealing his disease
Difficult times often come uninvited, but all that matters is the approach one chooses to tackle them. And so far, Henry has done it pretty well. The youngster revealed this news in December of 2022 with a casual tweet.
