Another season, another round of astute ads. The commercials aired during the games are as much a league tradition never fail to grab headlines. The latest commercial that has taken the league by storm stars none other than Kansas City Chiefs captain Patrick Mahomes, and it’s for a giant worth a whopping $131 million.

This hilarious ad has captured everyone’s attention, and it’s not just Mahomes in the spotlight; it also features his favorite coach, Andy Reid. But this isn’t the first time this dynamic duo has teamed up with the titan; they both graced a commercial for the label last year. As they team up once again, Coach Reid is effortlessly stealing the show.

Coach Reid stole the show

The 31-second State Farm commercial has hit the bullseye when it comes to pitching their combo insurance plan. In the ad, State Farm’s spokesperson, the popular character Jake, joins with Patrick Mahomes to break down the company’s combo insurance products to a ‘clueless’ Coach Reid.

Mahomes and Jake compare the ‘bundle’ plan to a classic combo meal, like a burger and fries, and Coach Reid adds a dash of humor by reaching over to grab the fries and burger and take a bite. Coach Reid playfully asks for another metaphor while he sneaks some of Mahomes’ nuggets, as the funny ad wraps up.

The commercial was shared by Mahomes on his social media page, leaving the internet in splits. It follows a previous collaboration between the duo for the insurance company last year, which marked Coach Reid’s foray into the commercial scene, after some convincing by Mahomes himself. However, despite the positive reception, Reid remains skeptical about his acting skills.

Reid does not know if it’s his thing

Coach Ried was not so sure when he signed on to act in a commercial. However, despite his doubts, his debut ad was well-received by the fans. However, one year down the line, he still has his doubts.

“I’m not an actor, for sure, but you know, something in the offseason that I did and the reason I kinda did it for Pat and they asked us to do another one so I did it. But I know I’m not very good at it and so I’m gonna keep my day job here,” said Reid.

However, fans say otherwise. To put it simply, they loved Reid in the ad.

“Andy needs to realize how good he is at these commercials”, a fan noted.

Another said, “This is so good 😂😂😂”.

And some even think he could run for an Oscar. “Big Red has the lombardi now he’s onto the Oscar”.

“This is so great in every way 👏😅😅”, read another comment.

“Reid is a natural in these commercials. Timing, dry humour 🤌🏿”, another showered their praise.

If the comments are anything to go by, Coach Reid should put his acting skills to good use.
