Fans were unhappy with a recent video showing Deebo Samuel ignoring a young fan for an autograph. The WR did not respond to the fan’s request for him to sign his football. Even though Deebo looked at him, he did not act on the child’s request. Consequently, the young fan expressed sadness and disappointment about not getting his favourite player’s signature.

This caused a social media backlash. In addition, the 49ers WR issued a clarification amidst the Twitter backlash to explain the situation. Samuel wants to get traded even after attending the 49ers’ mandatory minicamp. Earlier, John Lynch stated that the 49ers won’t trade the WR. However, he has something else in mind.
