However, some heartless crooks tried to scam people after emulating the Bills’ media scrum live stream with an altered title to garner attention.

The despicable title read, “Damar Hamlin passed away,” and the stream featured HC Sean McDermott. The live stream had over 13,000 viewers and a QR code on display. But the lack of a verified checkmark and the texts shared by the page in the live chat clarified that it was a crypto scam.

The NFL’s fans are disgusted by how swindlers are taking advantage of such a difficult time to scam the citizens. While some blasted the Bills, the eagle-eyed fans saw the difference and urged the franchise to take action.

Damar Hamlin shows promising recovery

Damar Hamlin was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center after collapsing in the field. Since then, the athlete has shown promising signs of recovery. According to the New York Times, Hamlin is able to interact with medical staff and his family. The Bills’ safety has improved neurologically, and can express through writing.

While this is a good update, the doctors also said that “He still has significant progress that he needs to make.” To help him keep breathing, Hamlin is still on a ventilator inside the University of Cincinnati Medical Center’s intensive-care unit.
