That’s almost unprecedented and has definitely taken some fans by shock. But more than anyone, Cam Newton himself has been left astonished at his present situation which finds him struggling to sign a deal to make his return. 

After multiple attempts at making a comeback, seemingly all have failed, leaving Newton with very limited options. But his latest rant detailing the unhinged reason for his failure to find a deal has left many fans perplexed. And it doesn’t end there. Fans also brought up the past reasons for Newton’s injury which derailed his career.

This fan also quoted rookie QB Anthony Richardson as an example of players still in the league. 

Fans also condemned Cam as his ‘excuses’ have begun to pile up.

Fans have been quick to point out that Newton’s decline as a QB in recent years might be the real reason behind his unsigned status.

In fact, Lamar Jackson, who is currently the highest-paid player in the NFL, has a similar hairstyle to Newton’s dreadlocks. Although some have been critical of Lamar’s hairstyle too.

Despite Newton’s impressive resume, which includes a Super Bowl appearance and an MVP award, he has not been signed by any team yet. After injuries derailed his career, Newton has been trying to make a return to playing competitive football in the NFL again, But after his failures to find a contract, even after his repeated attempts to showcase his talents, perhaps its time for Newton to face a reality check. 

As many fans and experts have pointed out, Newton has suffered heavily in his football career after his injuries. His lack of speed has majorly limited his throwing capacities causing many teams to refrain from signing him.
