Nothing tastes sweeter than a victory over a divisional rival. After five consecutive losses, the Detroit Lions roared back with a spectacular defensive show. Keeping Aaron Rodgers and the Packers at bay, the Lions managed to keep them restricted from getting points on the board until the third quarter.

The Lions have been on the receiving end of harsh criticism for their performance this season. But, this 15-9 win is a treat for the Detroit fans, especially because it came against the Packers.

The Detroit Lions are victorious

After the game, Lions head coach Dan Campbell appreciated his team and presented the game ball to defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn.

An ecstatic Glenn was hoisted by the team in a wholesome celebration. The defensive coordinator also had some motivational words for his squad. While expressing how he vicariously lived through his team, he said, “When I left the game man, this is what I missed. Man, to get a chance to be here, ’cause man, I live through you. I promise you I do. That’s why the coaches, that’s why we do what we do, man! For you guys. To live through you”

The Lions’ defense stepped up against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. Rodgers was picked off thrice by rookies, Kerby Joseph and Aiden Hutchinson. As defensive coordinator, whatever Glenn was doing seemed to work based on the defense’ performance on the field.

Glenn also spoke of the necessity of making winning a habit. He said, “Here’s the deal. We gotta make it a habit. Gotta make it a habit. You understand what I’m telling you? When it becomes a habit, that’s when we go places. And that’s when we start expecting to win like [sic] we talk about! Expect it, men!”
