The Kansas City Chiefs have booked their place in the AFC championship game. It will be the franchise’s fifth straight appearance in the game for the AFC title. But the Chiefs aren’t taking it for granted. Gracie Hunt, the gorgeous Chiefs heiress, motivated Patrick Mahomes and Co. citing her powerful granddad.

The Chiefs finished the regular season as the first seed in the AFC. And they are the favorites to make it to the Super Bowl from the conference, though they will be up against a familiar foe.

Gracie Hunt motivates the Chiefs

Gracie Hunt doesn’t want her team to take their position in the league for granted. So, she took it upon herself to motivate Patrick Mahomes and Co. citing her grandfather and the founder of the franchise Lamar Hunt. Hunt posted a series of snaps on her Instagram celebrating victory Monday.

“Thank you for all of the sweet messages and support! Let’s pray for favor & protection for our guys! Excited to play for the trophy named after my Pappy! Hunt’s grandfather Lamar was a pioneer of the sports industry in the United States. He founded the Chiefs as a part of AFL, which he also founded himself. Along with football, he was the founder of Major League Soccer. The winner of the AFC championship game gets to lift the Lamar Hunt trophy, named after him.

QB Patrick Mahomes is focused on getting back the trophy from his nemesis Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals defeated the Chiefs to win the honors last year. And Mahomes made his intentions clear with a single emoji last week

Patrick Mahomes focused on the Bengals’ hurdle

Patrick Mahomes has a final frontier in Joe Burrow that the QB hasn’t cleared yet. The two young quarterbacks have met thrice since the Bengals drafted Burrow in the 2020 NFL draft. And each time, Burrow has come out on the top.

The teams met each other earlier this season in week 13. Mahomes could complete 16 of his 27 pass attempts for 223 yards in the game. And he found the End Zone twice, one through the air and another on the ground. Burrow one-upped him in all the departments as the Bengals won 27-24. And Mahomes wants revenge.
