The offseason Aaron Rodgers buzz is escalating to new heights. The quarterback wants to become a part of the New York Jets. But the trade remains an enigma, and its commencement is yet to happen. The involvement of having an elite free-agent WR with A-Rod is buzzing all over. Amidst the craze, an ex-NFL Punter-turned-media sensation claimed it was about time to see the dream pairing become a reality.

Pat McAfee picked up the Aaron Rodgers to the Jets subject in the fourth of April edition of his show. He claimed that since the trade is a gargantuan possibility, adding another elite WR to the list, like Odell Beckham Jr., could be the cherry on top.

A-Rod x OBJ = A dream team?

Pat McAfee recalls the moments when Aaron Rodgers told that he is close with star-free agent WR, OBJ. He mentioned, “Aaron Rodgers said who wouldn’t want to play with Odell Beckham Jr. And I think in the past, Aaron has told us, previous seasons. He’s tight with Odell Beckham Jr. They know each other very well. They’re appreciative of each other; And if you’re Odell, the Jets seem to be going all in and try to win. That’s what Odell Beckham wants to be a part of.

McAfee further added that the Jets seem like the perfect spot for Odell Beckham Jr. However, it all depends on the offer he presented and who would splurge out the desired money.

The Jets trading up to introduce A-Rod in New York may look like a lip-smacking pairing. Bringing in some of Rodgers’ old teammates and an elite free agent may already make them the top franchise. However, there is another franchise monitoring the Packers-Jets trade for the Multi-time MVP quarterback.

Aaron Rodgers certainly intends to compete for New York. But the trade has not materialized to date. As the Green Gang fans wait to seize the opportunity, another franchise is reportedly on the run. Per Packers Insider Craig Carton, the San Francisco 49ers could be in for Rodgers if the Jets trade fizzles out.

San Fran trading for Rodgers could skyrocket the Red and Gold to the top spot. However, the quarterback’s admission for not willing to go to the franchise was as clear as day, too. It would certainly be an interesting situation to look at.
