Amidst all the coronavirus chaos, New York Giants grabbed headlines by appointing the first full-time NFL scout in the league’s history earlier the week. The New York-based franchise appointed Hannah Burnett as a scout earlier this week. Burnett will join up with the new staff personnel before the season starts in the next couple of months.
The NY Giants had a dismal 2019 season and will hope to build on that this year. They last won the NFL Championship in 2012 and will be hoping to live up to their underdog status this year. The NFC East division is a tough league to play in but fans at the Metlife Stadium will be hoping for a miracle from their beloved Giants.

In a team release on Thursday, Burnett spoke about her goals ambitions in her debut season with the Giants this year. About all the expectations and media attention she’s getting, she said “I try not to think about that. I completely understand and am aware that this is an awesome opportunity, and it’s important for females in the league.”
“But I’ve said this from the get-go: I just want to go in there like everyone else goes in there and go about my business like a pro. Everything will work itself out if I go about my business the right way.”

Burnett sets her sights on NFL Super Bowl trophy with Giants
Hannah was a lacrosse player before she opted to get into sports management. A UMass graduate, Burnett added “I played sports forever, ever since I can remember. To be able to be part of a team again that’s working toward one common goal is what I’ve been doing my whole life. I’ve always been a part of a team.”

“It’s helped me transition into the NFL. When I got to UMass and majored in sports management, I knew I wanted to work in sports in some capacity. The only thing I care about is for us to win the Super Bowl. Our main goal as a team is to win a Super Bowl. That’s my goal, that’s everybody’s goal.”
