Tom Brady and his former New England Patriots squad ruled the NFL dynasty from 2001 to 2019. From clinching 6 Super Bowls to being the inspiration for athletes, Brady retired with a glorious career. The year 2000 was super fortunate for the Patriots because it was not just Brady who signed the Destiny, but the head coach Bill Belichick too. The coach served the Cleveland Browns from 1991 to 1995 before meeting his long-term team captain, Brady, in the Patriots. After exactly 20 years of service, the star had to move on, and the world knows Brady proved his QB name outside the Patriots’ dynasty as well when he added another title with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

And after these golden periods, Brady hung up his NFL kit forever in February 2023. Patriots’ coach Belichick, a football mastermind, thinks that one night of ceremony for honoring the legend Tom Brady is really not enough. The coach talked to the Boston Herald before their opening game of the season against the Philadelphia Eagles. Wherever Brady is now, he will only appreciate his former coach’s kind words.

So, in the 20-year journey, Coach Belichick & QB Brady pair added many titles with the NE Patriots. In an interview with the Boston Herald, the 71-year-old was asked, “Does he [Brady] deserve a statue?” Belichick laughed quietly and said, “Give him whatever you want. Yeah.” Because after just celebrating his 46th birthday this month, Brady is up to receive the much-awaited Patriots’ honor at Gillette Stadium on September 11.

Therefore, the coach was asked about the ceremony, and he could not hold back his genuine heart for the star NFL player. HC said: “I’ve spoken to Tom a couple of times. Always look forward to talking to Tom and what a great experience and opportunity it was for me to coach Tom,” he added. “Tremendous appreciation for everything he did for me, did for our team, everything he gave us. Look forward to seeing him.”

Coach Belichick also obviously knows that Brady is moving to a career in broadcasting; he thinks Brady is very talented and will do well “whatever he chooses to do”. The coach is excited to see Brady and believes there will be a lot of excitement from the fans during the game. But the coach also does not agree with this one-night great event, as Belichick thinks Brady deserves more. He said, “He’s [Brady] done an awful lot for this organization, for this franchise, for this city, the National Football League. One night’s really not enough, anywhere close to being enough for the appreciation for what Tom deserves.”

Is Tom Brady as excited as his city?

For 20 glorious seasons, Brady wore the red, white, and blue of the New England Patriots, becoming a legend in Greater Boston, and beyond. He left an undeniable lasting mark on the franchise, the fans, and the city. As he is ready to return to his old home for a special reunion, Brady told ESPN in June, “Obviously, I want to go back there and see the fans,” He is eager to see the people who cheered him on for so long and to hug his former teammates who fought with him on the field. “I want to see my teammates. I went back there one time; it was in an opposing uniform, which was a different type of welcoming, although people were very polite, and I had a great experience.”- Tom Brady.
