The Chase Claypool chase

Aaron Rodgers appeared on the Pat McAfee Show and talked about the trade deadline and the Packers chase of a wide receiver. He said that he was hoping for some breaking news during the show.“Four Eastern I think is the cutoff maybe, so we are coming up on it. I was hoping there might be, you know, some news during this show that we could break in the live time. That would be pretty cool,” Rodgers said.

A-Rod then went on to reveal who Green Bay was chasing, and he is none other than the new Chicago Bears wide receiver Chase Claypool. I am not sure what is going to happen, but I know that I’m not surprised to hear that we were in on Claypool. Then we’ll see what happens,” he said.

But the Packers failed miserably at the trade deadline as Claypool went to the Bears from the Pittsburgh Steelers. Rodgers would be banging his head somewhere in the Packers building.

Aaron Rodgers says the trade deadline is different now

While talking about the trade deadline, McAfee asked the QB what he felt about the trade deadline. Rodgers said the trade deadline is very different from when he was younger and now there is a lot of movement in it. It wasn’t the case before.

“Well, the trade deadline has become an interesting thing. Earlier in my career, there wasn’t a whole lot of movement at the break. There wasn’t big name going. You weren’t seeing starters, Pro Bowlers, All Pro guys switch teams as frequently. I mean it just never really happened. It was so rare. Now, it’s way more common,” Rodgers said about the deadline.

But they didn’t get any new additions to the roster. So, Rodgers will have to make do with whatever he has got and rally the team behind him if they are to make it to the playoffs.
