Heated exchanges are a part of the game. But, sometimes, the situation escalates into dangerous territory. Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray displayed his frustration during the second quarter of the Week 7 game against the saints. While the Thursday night game was certainly an entertaining one, fans were not pleased by Murray’s outburst.

While there was no indication of a full-blown argument, fans criticized the quarterback for his behaviour on-field.

The quarterback looked livid and dropped an expletive in a heated remark directed at his coach. Fans spotted Murray near the sidelines as he yelled at Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury to “Calm the f*** down.”

While Kingsbury looked calm after the incident, wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins intervened before the matter could escalate. With Hopkins’ intervention, the quarterback took a step behind and seemed to have somewhat recollected himself. Murray was seen exchanging words with Kingsbury before storming towards the field with Hopkins in tow.

Much to fans’ relief, the next play went according to plan. The Cardinals went on to win against the Saints 42-34. After the game, both coach and quarterback did not show any signs of animosity towards each other. They went on to confirm that there was no actual hostility between them in individual statements.

Despite a rocky start to the season and the game, the Cardinals got their much-needed victory. They will hope to ride this win into their next matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.
