In a revealing interview, Manning shared his successful persuasion of Mahomes to join the project, highlighting Mahomes’ humility and respect for his coach, Andy Reid. Mahomes places great importance on seeking permission from Reid before committing to any endeavor.

“I could tell that Patrick wanted to do it, so his kids would know what he used to do and what his life is like because they’re so young now,” Manning said.
