Peyton Hillis still remains in the hospital after rescuing his kids from drowning. A vacation in Pensacola, Florida turned disastrous after the former New York Giants RB had to save his kids. He was transferred to the ICU in a hospital where the former NFL player was under critical condition for some time.

Now, he is seemingly out of danger and out of the Intensive Care Unit. A fellow also paid him a visit. Retired running back, Emmitt Smith, showed up to check on Hillis and issued a positive update to the fans who have been keen for news about their hero.

Following the lack of attention that Hillis got during this ordeal, fans were concerned about the former player. Their unlikely source of the update came through NFL icon Emmitt Smith. The 3 time Super Bowl champion is one of the best to ever do it in the sport. The Dallas Cowboys legend took the opportunity to see Hillis, who for him has become a hero.

Smith posted a picture of himself by the bedside of a smiling Peyton Hillis. In addition to the happy snap, he captioned the post, “I had the opportunity to visit a recovering hero this week,” and further included his prayers for the fellow RB. “Praying for his healing.”

Fans receive the news with warm feelings
