For all his time with the Green Bay Packers, Davante Adams had a best friend in his QB Aaron Rodgers. Now that the wide receiver is with the Las Vegas Raiders, there is a different system in play altogether. Adams has always been an explosive catcher but he might not get to play the way he likes in a Josh McDaniels offense, according to a lifelong Patriots fan. And the fan even pinpointed the culprit for Adams’ supposed struggles with his offense in the upcoming season and it is none other than Tom Brady.
Adams had a great understanding with Rodgers and both of them complemented each other’s game. But Jimmy Garoppolo is a different kind of QB and maybe that is why coach McDaniels got him to Vegas. But what does any of it have to do with Brady, who isn’t even playing the game anymore? Boston Connor seems to have an answer.
Will Davante Adams struggle with Jimmy Garoppolo?

According to Boston Connor Campbell, Davante Adams might struggle to adapt to the new Raiders offense. And that could be because of the difference in style of play between Aaron Rodgers and Jimmy Garoppolo. Campbell, who is a Patriots fan, knows the kind of offense Josh McDaniel likes to run and that might not be to Adams’ liking.
“Is that kind of methodical? Is it like the McDaniels offense with Brady where it’s just like first down first down first down and all of a sudden, they are in the red zone and then they maybe take a shot? Because honestly, I don’t know what it means but just because of McDaniels being in New England for so long that is kind of the offense he ran. Like it wasn’t as many depots, but we also never had a receiver like Devonte when McDaniels was called,” Campbell said on the ‘Pat McAfee Show’.Reports have suggested that Adams is not fully on board with the Raiders’ offensive style coming up for Garoppolo. That is because the new Raiders QB has a style similar to Tom Brady, something Adams isn’t really used to

Adapting to the Tom Brady way
Josh McDaniels ran the Patriots offense with Tom Brady taking the centerstage back in the day. And Brady was never a long ball thrower like Davante Adams has been used to with Aaron Rodgers. He played his entire career catching deep balls and big plays. But that has never been the style of McDaniels and fans don’t expect him to change that.

On top of it, Jimmy Garoppolo plays with the same style as Brady. He comes from the same coaching tree at the Patriots so there isn’t any significant difference between him and the seven-time Super Bowl champion’s way of playing football. So adapting to this style will be a task for Adams. So, can we say that playing with Rodgers has become a problem for the wide receiver when he went elsewhere? Maybe, but a player like him has all the ability to adapt anywhere. Can he do it with the Raiders and Garoppolo?
