The incident took place at DeVonta Smith’s second-annual charity softball game at Allentown’s Coca-Cola Park.
Jalen is a fearless competitor, which was evident when he participated in that game and had a close call that could have ended badly. Meanwhile, Patrick Mahomes had participated in the Royals’ Big Slick celebrity softball game the previous Friday evening, leaving the crowd amazed with his exceptional no-look passes. Adding to the mix, a Twitter video of Jalen Hurts narrowly avoiding disaster during a charity softball game went viral, accumulating over 1.6 million views.

Jalen Hurts climbs in the latest SI rankings for the 2023 NFL season.
SI recently released rankings of the 32 starting quarterbacks for the upcoming 2023 season. In those rankings, Jalen climbed up as he has shown remarkable improvement as a passer for making smart choices on the field. Additionally, reported as a dynamic runner, rushing for more than 750 yards and 10 touchdowns in both of the previous seasons. When compared to other quarterbacks in the NFC East, Hurts holds the highest ranking, securing the fifth spot on the list.

The four quarterbacks who were ranked higher than him are Patrick Mahomes from the Kansas City Chiefs topped, following Joe Burrow from the Cincinnati Bengals, then Josh Allen from the Buffalo Bills, and Justin Herbert from the Los Angeles Chargers rank given fourth.
