NFL GOAT Tom Brady is in the middle of a challenging season. His team Tampa Bay Buccaneers has not yet fired up. TB12 has not set the stage on fire too, after six games. There are rumors floating up that suggest the idea of Brady retiring in the midseason.

But the NFL legend is not ready to hang up his boots soon. The 45-year-old said he is in love with the sport and his teammates. He added he wanted to do a great job for the team. “So, no retirement in my future,” the GOAT explained. Several fans were of the assumption that the legend might retire after this season. Some of them expressed their take on Twitter.

Tom Brady explains retirement plans

Tom Brady’s words did not make sense to many fans. It is not clear if TB12 referred to the 2022 retirement or his plans to stay beyond this year. The legend may not like to quit, so soon, after just announcing a u-turn from retirement in March. He is pushing himself hard. However, the legend has not performed up to his usual standard. It has made many fans react to Brady’s future plans.

If Tom Brady continues for three more seasons, he can equal George Blanda’s unique record. Blanda was a QB and placekicker who played till he was 48 years old. This veteran legend played in the NFL for 26 seasons.  

Should Brady continue playing?

Retirement is solely a player’s decision, and a future HOF-er like Brady deserves to take his decision on his own, feel many fans. Earlier he had explained the desire to continue in the game till his body was alright. But form is also a deciding factor.

At 45, Tom Brady is not young anymore. A collision sport like the NFL possesses a lot of injury risks. But he is unnerved. It is his passion for the game that keeps him going. However, he has to prove to the fans and analysts that he has not lost his premier touch with some convincing performances in the NFL.
