On the same day, Metcalf showed off his athletic abilities at the NBA celebrity All-star game. Maybe that is what has triggered the suspicion of the league. But a drug test in the offseason sure has caught everyone by surprise.
The drug test request catches the NFL world by surprise
The NFL world is surprised with the league’s request for a drug test. Many fans are asking the NFL if they think there is a drug to make someone jump that high. Some have even suggested that the league should pay the athletes every time the test comes out negative. Here are some fan reactions.
This fan wants to know the kind of drug that can make someone jump that high.

Another fan has essentially the same question.
The bigger issue here is they drug tested you because apparently they believe you took a drug that helps you jump 50" higher. So what they are saying is the Captain America Super Serum is real?!

This fan has a way to make the drug test fairer.
The @NFL should be paying the players every time they test and come out negative. Fair is fair, they charge players for any little thing. It should be working both ways, not just their way, get off your high horse already, it's overdue.

Another fan certainly doesn’t think the jump video is fake.
