The NFL Draft had Marquise Brown change ships from Baltimore to Arizona after a blockbuster trade. He became one of the top WR for the $230.5 million man, Kyler Murray. However, the massive shakeup might have a heavy toll on the Arizona Cardinals’ plans, as they saw Hollywood Brown as the No. 1 wide receiver.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety confirms to NFL.com the arrest of the Arizona Cardinals’ new star for speeding charges. According to ADPS spokesperson Bart Graves, they detained Brown at 7:05 a.m. on State Route 101, surrounding three-quarters of the Phoenix metro area. They arrested and booked him into Maricopa County. According to Maricopa County inmate records, Brown reached a top speed of 126 miles per hour, which led to the apprehension.

After Brown’s arrest took place, the Arizona Cardinals puts out a statement about the situation. “We are aware of the situation regarding Hollywood Brown and have reported it to the NFL office as required. We will comment further as appropriate,” The franchise mentions via Arizona Sports.

It looks like 2022 is not running in the Arizona Cardinals’ favor. The Hollywood Brown trade was a big win for them. As per NewsOn6, Coach Kliff Kingsbury mentions Marquise Brown sustaining minor hamstring damage while working out. Kingsbury stated he is “easing him back in,” taking off with walkthroughs, and hopes to have him on board full time by Monday. However, him facing criminal charges was not something the franchise hoped to witness.

Moreover, DeAndre Hopkins’ aforementioned suspension for infringing the NFL’s performance-enhancing substance policy was another roadblock in the offense. The Cardinals punched their berth in the playoffs last year, and the fans were looking forward to another stellar campaign. However, this year has jeopardized the roster’s status after the offseason complications. Hopefully, Kyler Murray and the Cardinals can come up with a plan.
