Well, the reaction was similar for Mr. Beckham himself, who couldn’t believe his ears, what just happened. The reigning Super Bowl Champion was heading to New York for official meets with the NFL teams. Just a few minutes after boarding from the Miami Airport, he was asked to exit the aircraft.

A group of officers from the Miami-Dade Police Department were instantly dispatched to control the Airlines situation, which eventually led to OBJ getting escorted out of the airport.

According to the statement released by the police department, the flight crew was worried about one of their passengers (Odell Beckham Jr), who looked seriously ill. The attendants were asking him to fasten his seat belts, but he appeared going in and out of consciousness.

Subsequently, they asked Beckham to exit the flight; however, he refused to do so. So, the crew deplaned, making everybody get off and OBJ had to exit the aircraft.

Multiple reports emerged in this context that supported the police statement and OBJ’s claims. His attorney made serious allegations about the airlines, saying that the flight was delayed, and his client fell asleep with a blanket over his head.

After some time, the crew members woke him up, revealing that the aircraft was back at the gate because he didn’t wear a seatbelt. Although OBJ mentioned that he was asleep, the attendants informed him that it was too late and that he must get off the plane.

Here’s how Odell Beckham Jr. reacted to the incident

The exact clarity of the situation is still unclear. While the police department calls it “unconscious”, OBJ’s defense mentions it as “falling asleep”. Anyways, fans are not convinced with the justification and mentioned that getting kicked out just because of seatbelts looked unnecessary.
