The Jets are flying high right now. Having lost to the Browns in week 1 by a considerable margin, the Jets bounced back with a victory over the Panthers, leaving them with an absolute null score in week 2. Despite the aura of Aaron Rodgers‘ appearance on the field yet to come, the Green Gang is still in the process of building up its presence on the field. The NY jets are all set to thrust their high-powered engine after adding the flashy running back Dalvin Cook this week.
Initially criticized for not doing his homework and preparing his wish list, Rodgers was focused on his game plan in the laboratory and came up with a list to airlift six more former Packers‘ game changers, now in the Jets. And, the ex-Vikings statement has boosted the confidence of New York City, a claim he made after signing with the New York Jets.

The 4-time Pro Bowler Dalvin Cook goes unfiltered after signing a one-year, $7 million contract as he reported for his first practice on Thursday as an official Jets member. Cook’s primary reason for joining is a sense of hunger, driven by the desire to win a Super Bowl LVIII ring and play alongside the hero of this era, Aaron.
Cook opened up about the almost 4-decade quarterback and said, “Aaron is Aaron. If you don’t want to be part of something like that, I don’t know what you want in football.” This sentiment is enough to show his commitment to the Green Gang and the legend Rodgers.
Dalvin Cook had been selected to four straight Pro Bowls and was attracted to the Jets because of one of the toughest rosters in the team and the optimistic path to winning a championship. “Obviously, when you dig deep and look into the roster, all the pieces are put together,” the running back said.
Following a fortunate trip to his South Florida home this weekend for the blessed birth of his first child, the RB expects to practice “within the next few days.” Cook is determined to make this season special, as he talks about his specific role for the upcoming NFL battles. He said, “Just be Dalvin Cook. Just be me. When my number is called, go be explosive.”
Did Rodgers have something to say about Cook’s welcome to the Jets?
Well, obviously, Rodgers said on Wednesday, “He’s [Dalvin Cook] motivated, he wants to win a championship” He added, “he wanted to play with me and play here, in Jersey, so we’re excited to have him.”

After HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’ clips continuously came into the public domain, we have seen teammates saying, “Eight is a special dude,” Defensive Tackle Al Woods said while watching Rodgers in practice and exclaimed, “Whatever they say about Aaron Rodgers on TV is a lie.”
Last month, Rodgers graciously took a $35 million pay cut, in large part to give the Jets front office relief if they want to add players, and Rodgers said he wanted Cook. According to ESPN, Rodgers said, “Adding a great player to a football team is always a good thing.” Maybe that’s why Cook gave his heart to New York City, and declined other suitors, the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots, despite their levels of interest in him.
