A recent tweet by NFL Rumors states that the Titans spent some time shopping for Derrick Henry at the NFL combine. This move comes from the Titans in an effort to clear up their cap space this offseason. After the entry of the new manager Ran Carthon, the Titans have been restructuring the big contracts given previously. Four teams that are possibly interested in the RB are the Atlanta Falcons, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Buffalo Bills, and the Chicago Bears.

Fans have taken to social media to discuss the possible landing spots for Derrick Henry if he gets traded by the Titans.

Henry had a fantastic 2022 season with the Tennessee Titans. He finished second in the NFL with 1538 rushing yards. He is also arguably one of the best running back in the game since his rookie period. But the Titans might be feeling like maybe Henry will not fit the regime of the new manager who has taken charge.

Apart from this, Derrick Henry is also almost 30 years now. Therefore, his age might also be a plausible reason for taking this into consideration.

A possible new beginning for Henry in the NFL

If the Titans are successful in trading Derrick Henry, we might see a new beginning for the 29-year-old RB. Teams like Buffalo Bills and Atlanta Falcons might be the next probable destination for Henry. The trade will also mean that the team will be able to clear $6.26 million in cap space. But it might still be difficult to trade him, considering his age, as running backs tend to decline in terms of physical capabilities after a certain point in life.
