Eli Manning announced his arrival on Twitter late last night. ‘The Giant’ who walked away from the sport at the end of last season cited an American sports classic film in Hoosiers as part of his first tweet. Fellow quarterback Tom Brady noticed his Super Bowl nemesis and welcomed him to the site. Here he managed to roast himself by plugging in the 39-year-old’s habit of leaving things late.

Brady clearly hasn’t forgotten the Super Bowls for the 2007 and 2011 seasons. On both occasions, Manning’s New York Giants pulled off 4th quarter comebacks to deny the AFC side.
Manning who claimed the MVP in both those Super Bowls fired a shot at Brady ahead of his golf game against his brother Peyton. The younger Manning wrote, “Hope your golf game is as polished as your Twitter game. Don’t hit it in the lumberyard.”

14 years ago, Brady said, “it’s always fun to compete and win.” He has employed the philosophy throughout his NFL career and certainly won’t abandon it today. And even if he comes up short, one thing Tom Brady will absolutely ensure is that he doesn’t miscue a single tee shot.
