Well, not literally but he played through the majority of playoff games with a hurt ankle. That certainly didn’t stop him from going past the Philadelphia Eagles to the pinnacle of football glory.

On the way of winning the battle with the Eagles, he finally overcame his arch-nemesis Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC championship game. The icing on the Vince Lombardi cake was the league and Super Bowl MVP awards. Mahomes became the first player in over two decades to win them both in a single season. Truly off the charts.
