Former POTUS Donald Trump seems to be a big supporter and a close friend of NFL legend Ben Roethlisberger. Calling him Big Ben, Trump recalled his golfing days with the QB. Moreover, Trump expressed everybody loves Big Ben while addressing a rally before the 2016 elections in the US.
Nick Adams, a best-selling author and Trump supporter, also endorsed Trump’s views on Roethlisberger. No doubt, the former Steelers’ QB will go down in history as one of the greatest QBs ever to play the game.

In the video, Donald Trump boasts about his friendship with the notorious quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger. He was at a rally in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, in October 2016.
Adams brought this video back to life after reposting it on Twitter with the caption, “America needs more quarterbacks like Big Ben Roethlisberger and fewer like Colin Kaepernick!”
While posting this on Twitter, Adams referred to the backlash from Trump on Kaepernick. In 2016, Colin Kaepernick started protesting against racial and social injustices in the US before his games. Kaepernick’s protest saw mixed reactions, and Trump was certainly not pleased.
Donald Trump embraces his friendship with Ben Roethlisberger
Addressing the rally in Pennsylvania, Donald Trump embraced his friendship with the future Hall of Famer. He said, “We love Big Ben. Big Ben’s a friend of mine. We play golf together. He once played a shot, it went dead right into the tree, a massive tree. The ball hit the tree so hard, I swear I said Ben that tree is gonna be dead in two years. and…”

In addition, the Steelers quarterback shed light on his relationship with Trump. He said that both of them have played golf together, and Trump called him several times to congratulate him on his wins. However, Roethlisberger stays away from politics and refrains from talking about his support for Trump.
Trump is a huge Roethlisberger fan, and his address to the rally proves it. However, they keep the politics out of their relationship, and both embrace a friendly bond.
