The greatest character development that the league saw this season was of the Miami Dolphins QB. Tua Tagovailoa is playing his third season in the NFL and has finally evolved into his best self. He has been exactly what his team wanted him to be. And part of the reason the explosive QB is playing so well is his head coach, Mike McDaniel’s peculiar style of coaching.

Mike McDaniel has had a tremendous impact on the 24-year-old QB. Fans see him as a strong NFL MVP player. However, Tua was not always so confident and a fire-brand. The starting QB of the Dolphins faced self-esteem issues.
Tua Tagovailoa faced dark times
During the last season, Tagovailoa reached the lowest point of his career. “Do I suck?” he would ask himself while standing in front of the mirror. But that was nearly a year ago and now, in 2022, he’s taken his team to first place in the NFC East.
McDaniel helped the QB to develop self-confidence. The coach compiled 700 videos of Tua to show him how much he carries in himself. Even though the former head coach Brian Flores never believed in the QB, McDaniel began by appreciating the difficult position of a QB.
Mike McDaniel saying what so many fans (and analysts) need to hear.
It’s not about this guy is better than that guy debates.
It’s scheme fits. It’s coaching. It’s building guys up to maximize their skill sets. That’s how you truly win in the NFL.

“This was just using intuition, that getting beat up and having your existence be completely tainted by people saying that you aren’t X, Y or Z…if you’re not able to play to your strengths and your position that one of the reasons you’ve gotten there is you’re an unbelievable point guard…It’s a lot of loud noise that you try to ignore, but people are human…and it started seeing him every practice once he started getting a little bit more confidence each and every day.” However, fans on Twitter started questioning the coaches of various teams. They wanted to know why the coaches of teams that are in poor states aren’t getting creative, like McDaniel.
Fans interrogated coaches of losing teams
A fan commented if HC Todd Bowles of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers saw and learned a thing or two from the coach of the Miami Dolphins.
The Tom Brady-led Bucs are 5-6. Recently, they lost to the Cleveland Browns by 23-17.

This user wrote about the tale of Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens 7-4. The talented QB is not able to deliver consistent wins.
As a Lamar Jackson fan, I want to see what happens in the playoffs. I’ve seen exceptional regular season play and it’s enough to solidify a good qb. But it’s what happens when it matters is what will define any quarterback. So we will see. It’s the NFL today we are talking about
