On Monday, the Dolphins’ head coach, McDaniel, told the reporters that Tagovailoa has not improved that much and is still under the concussion protocol. Currently, the 24-year-old has been staying in the team facility and the medical team is evaluating him every 12 to 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Bridgewater, the backup quarterback, also did not train with the team. According to McDaniel, Bridgewater did not have any concussion symptoms; however, he will also remain under concussion protocol after the recent rule change by the NFL.
Notably, after Tagovailoa’s misevaluation by the medical team, the NFL faced plenty of rage regarding their concussion rules and regulations. After the quarterback suffered a second concussion against the Bengals, the NFL enacted some new concussion protocols. These were effective immediately from Sunday onwards. Unfortunately, Dolphins backup QB Bridgewater also suffered a concussion this Sunday against the Jets and left the field immediately.

Can the Dolphins win against the Vikings this Sunday?
While both of the Dolphins’ quarterbacks are out, duties will fall on the shoulders of rookie player Skylar Thompson. Notably, Thompson played during Sunday’s game against the Jets after Bridgewater left the game.
It is worth mentioning that the Phins started the season in a fantastic manner, as they won three back-to-back games. However, the injuries hampered their season so far, as they lost the last two games. They will face the Vikings in Week 6 game next Sunday. Safe to say, Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and others need to step up in that game to save their 2022-23 season.
