Tyreek Hill’s astounding displays for the Chiefs saw him raise the ceiling for what WRs could do in the game. His move from the Arrowhead to Miami came along with a bumper $120 million deal in 2022. This windfall has done wonders to Hill’s earnings, the keys to which he has handed to his four-year-old daughter. The Super Bowl winner revealed a deeply personal reason from his formative years as the motivation behind this decision.

As the 29-year-old prepares for his eighth season in professional football, he took some time out to host and air an episode of It Needed To Be Said. Tyreek Hill spoke to Michael Vick, spilling the beans on many anecdotes, including the thought process that led him to select Nyla as his beneficiary.

The father of four has seen something in his only daughter that has led him to take this decision. On his podcast, he laid out three reasons for the same. Tyreek Hill said, “My little girl, she can carry my image. I was raised by some very powerful women- my grandma, my mom, my sister.” Despite his decision to give his daughter control, he did not put down his other children.

The Dolphins star added, “I put my daughter over all my boys. Yeah, because like I just know, out of all my boys are smart, all of my boys are, you know, well-minded. They’re very disciplined, but there’s just something about my daughter, like she’s on a different level. I just gave her complete control over everything, just in case something happens to me.”

‘Cheetah’ further went on to talk about his personal intuition about why he took the right call. The fifth-round pick from the 2016 NFL Draft said, “I know she’s gonna do the right thing to you know teach her to do the right thing exactly. I know she’s gonna do the right thing by her father’s name and she’s gonna and she’s gonna make sure that her brothers are in a great situation. Also, you feel me like she’s not selfish.”

Hill’s podcast witnesses such stories from both the host and the guest. While this story about the 29-year-old’s motivation stemming from his youth took center stage, a story from another NFL WR’s youth was in the spotlight a while back.

When Antonio Brown joined Hill as the guest star on his podcast, AB shared stories of his childhood. The four-time First-team All-Pro never thought he would have a secure future for him ahead when he was in college. Brown did not have a great childhood, as he had to move around a lot when he was young.

Having to live with his mother and stepdad, he shared, “I had to bounce around. My mom had a little drama my dad out of town and stepdad. I’m probably jacking them up, so I had to be a man at a young age.” AB understood the options ahead of him as he recalled, “You either go to college anywhere, you could go to, uh, change your life or, either you get caught up with the wrong crowd.
