The Kansas City Chiefs head coach is a family guy and has been married to Tammy Reid since 1981. Garrett Reid, Britt Reid, Drew Ann Reid, Crosby Reid, and Spencer Reid are his five kids. Apart from the Big Red, Britt Reid worked as a coaching assistant with his father in the Chiefs.

As per Pro Football History, Andy Reid’s second son Britt has been with the Kansas City Chiefs since 2013. He began his career as a Defensive quality control coach. He became the assistant DL coach in 2015 and then the defensive line coach for the next three years. When Patrick Mahomes joined the Chiefs in 2017, he worked with the defensive unit. Since Mahomes is on the offensive side, Coach Britt may not have direct involvement with the quarterback. But they were in the same franchise.
From 2019 to 2020, Britt Reid was the outside linebackers coach. In the 2019-20 season, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs clinched the Super Bowl after defeating the San Francisco 49ers. Younger Reid shared playoff glory with his father.

Britt Reid had a fair run as a coach alongside his dad with the Chiefs as they clinched the Vince Lombardi Trophy in 2020. But adversity struck after that, as Big Red’s second son entered a legal dispute after a tragic accident.
Britt Reid faced prison time with Felony D.W.I.
Britt Reid had a sordid past and battled addiction. Moreover, Reid was involved in a car collision on the night of February 4, 2021. The former coach was driving while impaired by alcohol, causing severe injuries. It happened when his pickup truck collided with two parked vehicles on an interstate exit ramp, critically wounding a 5-year-old girl.

The five-year-old girl who was inside one of the stalled cars sustained a traumatic brain injury after Britt collided with them. He pleaded guilty to felony DWI, and the former Chiefs coach is facing a three-year sentence in prison.
Britt Reid was apologetic for his actions, but he would pay for what he did while in confinement.
