The Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has now become the talk of the town after the youngster received appreciation from the Hall of Famer Michael Irvin. The former Cowboys receiver admired the quarterback’s leadership and motivational rage inside the locker room.

The legendary star marked his appearance on ‘The Rich Eisen Show’ where he spoke about various topics, including his recent favorites, Jalen Hurts. The 24-year-old now leads the NFL power rankings after he updates the team score 3-0 by the end of week 3.
Irvin was full of chills hearing the speech by Hurts inside the locker room. His reactions took rounds of the internet, especially getting excited about the QBs maturity at this level.
“This quote, this saying that I heard Jalen Hurts said, I get chills thinking about it. He said, ‘I say to all my playmakers: we cannot just feel the temperature in the room. We must be the thermometer.’ Do y’all get how great that is?” Irvin said on the show.
“Oh snap! All of my playmakers, we can’t just see what’s going on in the game, we’re going to set the tone every Sunday out here! And then they put that damn cape on every time one of them makes a play.” he reacted, explaining the entire story.
Well, to some extent, he misinterpreted the quote. It was not a thermometer, instead; it was the thermostat Hurt referred to. He meant the team needs to act rather than react in the first place.
Michael Irvin is correct about Jalen Hurts to some extent
Irvin is among the few greats to back a player like Jalen Hurts, especially when other quarterbacks are reigning the throne. This offseason seems to have fared well for the passer as the results have started showing in.

So far, Hurts threw for 916 yards and connected for four touchdowns conceding a single interception. He rushed for three touchdowns and registered three wins at the beginning of the 2022 season.

The Jaguars are next on the line for Hurts-led Eagles. It will be interesting to know if he can sustain his winning streak, as the season is getting more intense with each passing day.
