Travis Kelce has been fired up for the last couple of days. The Chiefs TE hasn’t seemed to show an ounce of hesitation in saying what he sees fit. In the wake of the drama, Kelce was involved with Cincinnati mayor Aftab Pureval. The TE has now made another decree.

The Kelce brothers, Jason and Travis, find themselves pitted against each other in the Super Bowl. But ahead of the big game, the younger Kelce warned fans from engaging in one specific activity.

Travis Kelce issues a warning

The 72 steps that lead up to the Philadelphia Museum of Art is a popular tourist spot because of its significance in pop culture. A ‘Rocky’ statue sits at the bottom of the stairs, marking the site where the iconic 1976 film Rocky was shot. But as it turns out, football fans aren’t headed to the statue just for sightseeing. In light of all the opposing teams’ jerseys being flung on top of the statue, fans are on their way to creating a Rocky curse. During Philly’s 2017 faceoff against Minnesota, a jersey of the Vikings hung on the Rocky statue. Ahead of their AFC conference game against San Francisco this year, the statue flaunted a Niners jersey.

In both cases, the outcome was not in favor of the team whose jersey was on display. On the brothers’ podcast ‘New Heights’, Eagles center Jason Kelce had an interesting theory.

He believed that a notorious Philly fan was responsible for dressing the statue in their opponents’ colors. He proceeded to encourage the act because even though it was a far stretch, Philadelphia could benefit from it. His brother Travis immediately reacted and issued a warning. The TE looked the camera dead in the eye and stated, “Chiefs, do not touch the f****** Rocky memorial, okay? Do not do that. Definitely don’t put an 87 on there.” But the outcome of this anticipated matchup hinges on more than luck.

A Kelce brother showdown promises excitement

The Kansas City Chiefs are headed to the Super Bowl for the third time in the last five years with Patrick Mahomes as their starting QB. On the one hand, the game will be a Kelce family showdown. And offensive weapon, Travis Kelce, has been fired up, especially after recent events. On the other, Chiefs HC Andy Reid will take on his former team.

As the Eagles aim to get their hands on the trophy, they’ll find themselves facing a huge obstacle. Mahomes has had some practice with regard to giving explosive performances during big games in recent years. Can the Eagles corner the QB and prevent him from running circles around their defense?
