6’4 235lbs Man Destroying the Track Shocked NFL Legend Shannon Sharpe: “Really Thought It Was Photoshopped”

The NFL Combine is a time when rookies get to showcase their talents for the NFL. And with each passing year, the Combine leaves heads turning with a few of these rookies becoming exceptional standouts for scouts and players. This year’s combine saw the likes of Bijan Robinson and Anthony Richardson leaving scouts and fans in awe of their physical performance.

Back in 2019 during the Combine, there was a certain rookie WR who destroyed the track race, leaving everyone in a state of shock. And NFL player turned analyst Shannon Sharpe recalls his amazement over the talent this rookie showcased four years back prior to his NFL debut.

DK Metcalf left Shannon Sharpe in awe

Ever since being drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in 2019, WR DK Metcalf has proved himself to be one of the best WRs playing in the league. Not only this, but the WR is also one of the fastest. His 22.64 mph run to catch Budda Baker’s 90-yard interception return in a match against the Arizona Cardinals back in 2020 is a testament to his speed and agility. Not only this, but during his NFL Combine, DK Metcalf ran the 40-yard dash in an amazing time of 4.33 seconds. And this had left Shannon Sharpe in disbelief over his speed.

In a recent episode of Undisputed, Metcalf joined Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless on the show. The 25-year-old WR  is 6’4 and 235 lbs. And possessing the speed he has with his measurements is certainly a gift he is blessed with. When Bayless asked Sharped about his opinion regarding  DK Metcalf during the 2019 Cominbe, he said, “Well, the first time I saw him, I saw him and I think, AJ, they had posted on IG and somebody posted it and I said it’s photoshopped. Because there is no way in hell a man that big looked like that, I really thought it was photoshopped.”

But Metcalf has gone on to prove his worth in the NFL and according to him, he believes that he is the fastest player in the NFL.

Is Metcalf the fastest NFL player?

When Colin Cowherd asked the WR if he thinks he is the fastest player in the league, Metcalf said, “Yes, I am. On the record, I am.” But his teammate, Tariq Woolen, has given him competition after running the 40-yard dash in 4.266 seconds in the 2022 NFL Combine. Apart from his speed, Metcalf also left fans in awe over his insane physical strength, after his insane vertical jump in a workout video went viral. DK Metcalf also had a good 2022 season, with 90 receptions for 1,048 yards and six touchdowns, helping the Seahawks reach the wildcard round of the playoffs. 

Now, the 25-year-old WR will be looking to carry forward that momentum going into the new season, and also ensure to reach new milestones in his own career.
