DK Metcalf opens up on the Wilson trade!
In a recent episode of KG Certified, Metcalf was having a chill time with the NBA legend Kevin Garnett on the show. The duo discussed various aspects of the game, including Wilson’s abrupt departure from the team.

Having been left as the only superstar after Wagner was released as a free agent, the 24-year-old seems less bothered and more concerned about his game.
When asked about Wilson’s release he said, “I first heard it when I was at a Gatorade shoot. I was in shock because I didn’t think it was going to happen.” But destiny had something else destined, leaving him no choice but to accept Drew Lock as his new QB.
He also stated that Wagner’s departure was the one that hurt him the most. A good receiver’s journey is often guided by great quarterbacks, and Wilson, moving to Broncos, raised many eyebrows concerning Metcalf’s future in the team.

Experts even started speculating that Metcalf would be an attractive agent if he gets released.

“I’m going into Year 4, and I think it’s time for me to step up and be a leader,” Metcalf spoke about his intentions recently on Garnett’s show. At several stages this offseason, the WR bestowed his hopes upon Drew Lock and the team. Even though Lock will never be an exact compensation for Wilson, his abilities are far-fetched.

Some of his greatest starts appeared in the 2020 season. He threw over 300 yards and secured a QB rating of more than 100. With a super-confident Metcalf being on his side, Drew Lock can easily kick-start his new stint as the Seahawks QB for the upcoming season.
