On Saturday, The Patriots suffered another loss against the Bengals, which was a major blow to their chances of qualifying for the playoffs. On the other hand, many are accusing the Patriots’ QB Mac Jones as one of the dirtiest players in the NFL right now. Notably, during the fourth quarter, Jones tripped Bengals cornerback Eli Apple while trying to catch linebacker Germaine Pratt. The NFL is currently investigating the incident, as Apple called Jones out after the game.

Previously, many fans and experts pointed toward this aspect of his game and called him a dirty player. Although he never received any fine or suspension from the NFL, he could get into trouble this time. Meanwhile, NFL insider Dov Kleiman recently posted a compilation video of his dirty plays and called him a dirty player and many fans agreed with him.

NFL fans called out Mac Jones for his series of dirty plays

Earlier, Kleiman tweeted the video and in the caption, he wrote, Mac Jones is a dirty player – Compilation video from 4 different incidents from his two-year career.

After Kleiman posted this video, many fans and well-known personalities started posting their opinions. One Twitter called him:

Indianapolis Colts safety, Armani Watts compared him with Grayson Allen, an NBA player who plays for the Milwaukee Bucks; he is also known for his dirty plays on the basketball court.

Former NFL defensive end, Ronald Talley also expressed his views.

 

Another user felt it will be hard to defend Jones for his latest act against the Bengals.

Meanwhile, one fan provided a reason why defensive players don’t like Jones that much.

One fan suggested a hilarious tactic for the defensive players if they see Jones sliding to stop a play.

Another Twitter user thinks wins will dictate whether Jones is a dirty player or not.

On the other hand, many people gave Joe Burrow‘s example and his sliding tactics as well.

One fan felt only two clips were dirty and the rest of them were fine.

Another fan expressed the same opinion as well.

At the moment, the play is under review, and Jones could get a massive fine. After Apple’s comment about the play, Jones said in a recent interview, “I went down in front of him to kind of get in the way to stop him from slowing down Tyquan (Thornton)… It’s a split-second decision and there’s a lot that goes into it… I have all the respect for Eli and the Bengals… Definitely, no intention to hurt anybody on that play.”

Notably, Jones had a terrific rookie season with the Patriots last year. Patriots were hoping that Jones would become a perfect replacement for Tom Brady; however, that has not happened this season, as the New England team is slowly crashing out of the playoff race.
