Patriots quarterback Mac Jones is not having a great time both on and off the field. Earlier, Jones made his return on ‘Monday Night Football’ against the Chicago Bears after recovering from an ankle injury. On his return, he drew plenty of controversies with one dirty play against the Bears’ safety, Jaquan Brisker.

Notably, Jones kicked Brisker’s crotch while sliding on the ground, which garnered plenty of criticism from fans and experts. Many thought that was a dirty play from the Patriots’ quarterback, and some are demanding the NFL suspend the QB.

NFL fans react to Mac Jones’ dirty play against the Bears

Earlier, during the game between the Patriots and the Bears, Jones kicked the opposition safety, which looked intentional in the video clip. Notably, this incident took place in the second quarter and Brisker looked in visible pain after that.

Renowned analyst Nick Wright also pointed out a previous play by Jones, as he slammed him.

Meanwhile, fans are also not happy with Jones, as one fan wants the QB to be suspended forever.

Whereas, fans blamed Bill Belichick, the Patriots head coach, and thought the referees should have ejected Jones.

It is worth noting that Tom Brady recently received a fine from the NFL worth $11,139 during the week five game between the Bucs and the Falcons. In that game, he allegedly kicked Falcons’ rusher, Grady Jarrett, on multiple occasions during the game. Notably, the last time Brady received a fine like this was back in 2013, when he received a $10,000 fine for kicking Ed Reed.

As for Jones, he has to wait for the NFL to make a decision. Many believe he will receive a hefty fine for his misconduct. Meanwhile, he received another punishment from the Patriots’ head coach, Belichick benched him in that game in the second quarter in favor of the rookie Bailey Zappe. It will be interesting to see if Belichick will continue to use Zappe in the coming weeks.
