Tom Brady is getting applauded for carrying his team on his shoulders for his career’s 14th straight playoff appearance. After the monster night a week ago against the Carolina Panthers, Brady shut down all doubts and questions about his form. However, his on-field activities aren’t the only ones earning some praise.
Brady got cheers for something he didn’t do. And that is interviewing Prince Harry this week. Ex-BBC News night presenter Emily Maitlis mistakenly tagged the seven-time Super Bowl champion in her post about the controversial interview instead of the actual interviewer, ITV News on 10 Anchor, Tom Bradby.

Prince Harry’s interview on ITV last night was a ‘declaration of war’ calling the queen consort ‘the villain’ and ‘dangerous’. And surely the Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB would have had a tough time making sense of the social media post, amidst preparations for the NFL playoffs.

“Great interview by Tom Brady. This is fundamentally a tragic story of a kid who lost his mother in the most appalling circumstances – and never found the support to emerge from that darkness,” Emily’s tweet said.
Within moments, News Agent podcast co-host and colleague Jon Sopel hilariously pointed out Emily’s typo error. “Would be one h–luva scoop if this interview had been done by America’s quarterback,” Sopel commented.
Hi Emily, I'm guessing you mean @tombradby not @TomBrady ?

Legend of an NFL player too who knew he could also be an amazing journalist on something other than American football

Didn't know Brady did interviews. Pretty talented guy to play football and interview princes.

If you think Tom Brady's interview with Harry is good, you should really check out Drew Brees's interview with King Charles III and Aaron Rodgers interview with the Earl of Wessex.

I reckon a conservative-leaning American footballer would probably have offered a more challenging interview, to be honest.

However, it wasn’t just Emily who made this glaring mistake. Piers Morgan also tagged the former New England Patriots QB in his tweet.
TB12 didn’t expect to trend in England without an international fixture present
“‘Why did neither Tom Brady nor Anderson Cooper challenge Harry about his appalling Taliban kill boast,” Piers Morgan tweeted after the riveting interview. However, Piers quickly realised the error and deleted the tweet.
But that was not quick enough for fans to not comment. As one fan wrote on the deleted Twitter thread, “probably because Tom Brady was too busy being a quarterback last night.”
I am calling for a complete and total shutdown of anyone trying to say “Tom Bradby” until we work out what the hell is going on. https://t.co/HjcFYHUT9k

And Emily and Piers weren’t the only ones who misspelled the actual journalist’s name. LBC’s evening slot host Andrew Marr tagged Tom Bradbury while appreciating the brilliant piece of interview.
After the multiple confusing social media posts, BBC News producer Callum May called for a “complete and total shutdown of anyone trying to say, Tom Bradby.”
