Ja’Marr Chase’ historic performance leads the Cincinnati Bengals to a win over KC Chiefs
On January 2nd. 2022, Ja’Marr Chase arguably gave the best performance for a rookie wide receiver in the history of the league. The talented youngster finished the night with a mind-boggling 11 catches for 266 yards. On top of the incredible yardage statistics, the rookie also scored three touchdowns leading the Bengals to a 34-31 win over the Chiefs.
The record of 266 receiving yards is the most by a rookie in NFL history. Post-match, the rookie was quipped on his thoughts after having more receiving yards [266] than Patrick Mahomes [259]. The moment Ja’Marr heard his achievement, he couldn’t believe it. “I don’t think I did that. There ain’t no way,” said Chase in disbelief. The reporters then confirmed again to which the Ja’Marr squealed, “Did I? Oh, Sh*t” in delight!

Patrick Mahomes had a message for Chase post Bengals – Chiefs

After having a stellar outing against the Chiefs, NFL fans around the world were in awe of Ja’Marr Chase. Amongst the many admirers of that performance, one of them was Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Post-match, the KC Chiefs made sure to let the rookie know of his good performance. “Keep doing you,” said Mahomes to Chase. The quarterback before parting however warned Chase. “We’ll see you in the playoffs,” added Mahomes.
