Jalen Ramsey is gradually settling into his new home in Miami Dolphins. The All-Pro Bowler participated in the individual drills at the team’s minicamp last month. However, he did not participate in team drills, as Ramsey was recovering from surgery on his right shoulder that he underwent earlier this offseason. And now, he took to his Instagram to share some learnings from his Grand Ma.
I think I’ve had the same plan like for the past three offseasons,“So, it’s just the same carry-over here. I play extremely physical. I play a physical style of game, and I recover my body the right way. I trust in my process. ….What matters is when the time is right, then I’m ready to go full-go, and that’s not even a question in nobody’s mind. So we’re following the right plan for me,” Ramsey said during his appearance at the camp. The 28-year-old exudes hope and enthusiasm about his future at the new stop.

As the All-Pro Bowler is gearing up for a new season, he took to his Instagram story to share some words of wisdom from his grandmother, that fuel his drive as he works his way to the new franchise.
“The devil don’t try to destroy what he feels like he already won over…..JUST KEEP GOING! KEEP THE FAITH! We at war but the victory is ours because we WITH God. My grandma spoke these words to me today & I wanted to share as encouragement to y’all too! Blessings to all,” the post read.

Ramsey’s blockbuster acquisition
Miami Dolphins acquired Ramsey on a trade with the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for tight end Hunter Long and a 2023 third-round pick, back in March. The Dolphins subsequently restructured Ramsey’s contract, assuring his 2023 salary of $17 million and his 2024 salary of $18.5 million. He was Pro Football Focus’ third-highest-graded cornerback last season trailing behind NFL Defensive Rookie Year of the Year Sauce Gardner of the New York Jets and the Denver Broncos Pat Surtain II, who was a first-team All-Pro.

Ramsey finished last season with 88 tackles, two sacks, and four interceptions for a Rams team that struggled much of the year, finishing at 5-12. Despite Ramsey receiving criticism in the past, he is deemed to be a major piece in Dolphin’s roster in rebuilding its defense.
