While talking about the Lions, Williams states, “I’m looking forward to it, for real. Football, it’s what I do. They traded up for a reason, trusted me and my playmaking ability. We gonna put everything together after my rehab, and we’re gonna show the world.” He adds that it was just his tiredness that led to his subdued reaction to his new team.

Williams also shared his excitement and enthusiasm for being a rookie this season in Detroit. He also seems like someone fans Lions will root for in the upcoming season. The rookie wideout brings a different dynamic to the Lions’ offense with his big-play threat.

Did the Detroit Lions make the right choice by going for Williams?

The former Alabama Crimson Tide WR was productive in his only season while recording 79 receptions for 1,572 receiving yards resulting in 15 TDs. But it will be his injuries that might concern the Lions fans as he missed the National Championship Game with a torn ACL. It will be a race against time for the rookie as he hopes to hit the ground running from the start.

There seems to be a growing faith in Williams from the organization following their attempts to move up in the Draft.
