Details Reveal NFL’s Highest Paid Receiver Tyreek Hill Offered 57-Year-Old Slap Incident Victim $200 And A Direct Apology

In an incident that has captured attention in the sports world, Miami Dolphin star Tyreek Hill has been accused of slapping a fishing charter company employee at the Bill Bird Marina in Haulover Park on Father’s Day. According to a Miami-Dade Police report, the employee was unaware of Hill’s identity at the time, when Hill offered him a $200 apology.

Hill’s alleged slap leaves employee in shock

The altercation began when a Kelley Fishing Fleet employee noticed two individuals, one later identified as Hill, engaging in Tarpon fishing from the dock. The employee informed the police that such activity was illegal. In no time, two women joined Hill’s group and boarded a private fishing boat that was docked nearby. The captain of the boat, who had just returned from the marina’s gas station, discovered the group and instructed them to disembark, which led to an intense disagreement.

Hill allegedly took offense and engaged in a heated argument with the captain. Hill further stated, “I can buy you and the boat.”

The boat captain, sharing his account with the police, described Hill’s aggression. Hill attempted to enter the boat, allegedly intending to cause harm. Ultimately, he was restrained by unidentified individuals who were present at the scene. 

The boat captain realized the true identity of the individual before him, when Hill confidently stated, “I am number 10 from the Miami Dolphins.” 

Amid the escalating commotion between Hill and the boat captain, a Kelley Fishing Fleet employee approached to assess the situation. Unfortunately, as Hill passed by, he allegedly slapped the employee on the back of his head and neck. Fearing for his safety, the employee quickly rushed to the safety of his office. 

Tyreek Hill’s apology attempt

Later, a fisherman informed the employee that the man responsible for the alleged assault was a prominent football player from the Miami Dolphins. It was then revealed that Hill desired to apologize for his actions. When the employee emerged from the office, he overheard Hill instructing his associate to offer $200 as a form of apology. However, the employee declined the gesture and Hill departed shortly.

After reviewing surveillance footage capturing the heated exchanges, law enforcement authorities found the boat captain’s and employee’s testimonies to be consistent with the recorded events. The employee identified Hill as the individual who had slapped him. As a result, the State Attorney’s Office is handling the situation.

This incident is not the first time Hill has faced legal troubles. In 2014, Hill pleaded guilty to domestic assault against his girlfriend. In 2019, he was investigated for alleged battery against his son (then 3 years old).
