His Seven Super Bowl titles are part of the substantial evidence of this fact. Meanwhile, Tom Brady clarifying his intentions to play in Week 18 has become a hot topic in the NFL world.

The 2022 season has been a roller coaster ride for the Buccaneers. There is no debate over the fact that the Week 18 match-up against the Falcons holds the least value for the team. Because they have already clinched the division title in the last game, slaying the Panthers 30-24 in a close encounter. Brady has a little work to do; instead, he could utilize the time to gear up for hosting the wild-card game.

But the quarterback wants to be a pure professional valuing the merits of his opposition. While speaking on the SiriusXM podcast, Brady explained why he wants to play in Week 18. “I think when you say it’s meaningless, I understand the context, but I don’t think anything’s meaningless,” said Brady, per Greg Auman.

“And everything’s in preparation for what’s ahead. I think that you could look at, okay, it’s not gonna matter per standing, but it matters because you’re a professional. It matters because it’s a performance, it matters because it’s your job.”

“It matters because it’s football season and we’re paid to be football players and, you know, it’s all these decisions. I’m not the head coach, so I don’t make those decisions, and I’ll obviously, whatever he wants to do I support it, but, you know, I love going out there and playing.” he added.

Indeed, the 8-8 record doesn’t look good on Brady’s illustrious 22 seasons. In fact this was one of his lowest career performances, and hence the veteran doesn’t want to leave any opportunities unutilized.
