The Colorado Buffaloes have witnessed a surge in popularity. It is mainly because they signed NFL vet Deion Sanders as their HC for the football program. Following his father, his son Shedeur Sanders took charge as the QB for the Buffaloes after transferring from Jackson State last year. The father-son duo is expected to achieve great things during their stint in Colorado. But the football program saw a massive backhaul when it witnessed a mass exodus of players last month in the transfer portal.

Despite the massive exit of players, Colorado’s athletic director Rick George has put his faith in Coach Prime and his broader plans for the program. And Sanders, along with his son, continue their lives, hoping for better things to come their way.

While the gradual improvement of the football program will be at the top of the priority list, Coach Prime is shifting down a gear to relax and take a break from all the stress of continuous improvement planning of the Buffaloes. He recently shared a post on Twitter about a fish he caught on a fishing trip. In the post, we see him flaunt a wide smile while showing off the prize he caught, captioning the post with the hashtag ‘PrimeDance’.

On the other hand, his son Shedeur Sanders seems to be enjoying life in Colorado as well. On his Instagram, we see him pose with rapper Key Glock in a recent post. Both of them share a long-standing friendship with each other. Just a day prior, the Buffaloes QB even posted a couple of pictures of him training and playing on the field for his team.

The Colorado football program saw a tense atmosphere recently when around 40 players exited during the spring transfer portal. But Coach Prime’s boss has gone on to state his confidence in him, stating that it is part of a broader plan to revive the roster for the long run.

The mass Colorado exodus

Deion Sanders made headlines when the roster witnessed players hitting the NCAA transfer portal last month. It saw the likes of WR Montana Lemonious-Craig and RB Deion Smith leave the roster as well. Craig led the team in receiving yards, while Smith was a leading rusher with 393 yards with 83 carries for the Buffaloes. Sanders had a huge impact ever since signing as the HC, and he believes that he knows what he wants from players who will be a part of the roster. When George was questioned about the exodus during an interview with ESPN, he said that Sanders is  “Trying to build a winner in Colorado, and this is the way to do it.”
