TB12 is a fitness and lifestyle brand that aims to improve athletes’ lifespan and performance. With Brady still tackling opponents at 45, no one can be a stronger advocate for athlete performance enhancement than Brady. The ‘Tom Terrific’, without a doubt, takes pride in himself and does not appreciate being compared to another brand’s goal. Even if it is Gwyneth Paltrow, the Hollywood starlet!
Is Tom Bray the same as Gwyneth Paltrow?
TB12 was likened to Paltrow’s $250 million health brand, ‘goop’, during an interview with the magazine Men’s Health. Though Brady has entered the fray to compete with female wellness entrepreneurs, he has reportedly shunned any comparisons of his business to others in 2019.
Tom Brady founded TB12 with the goal of adhering to the philosophy that “a holistic approach to health and wellness begins with pliability”. Paltrow, on the other hand, founded ‘goop’ in 2008. It began as a newsletter wherein Paltrow provided travel and shopping recommendations. It eventually grew into a $250 million luxury retail that offers $300 facial serum.
Gwyneth Paltrow’s ‘goop’ promotes healthy living through an organic diet and a holistic approach. It has had its fair share of controversy. The same thing occurred to Brady. He’s also been accused of spreading ‘pseudoscience’. Brady, on the other hand, avoided being compared to ‘goop’.
The secret to becoming like Tom Brady
In reaction to the comparison, Brady stated that “you don’t need to be like a cyborg” to be healthy. Brady’s incredible fitness has earned him the moniker “something of a biological miracle.” But it is his commitment and hard work that has brought him to this point. “No one has to be Tom Brady… I just get to be Tom Brady. You get to be you. Everyone has a choice. But if you want to be good at sports, you have to work hard at it. If you want to be healthy, you have to work at it. But you can’t say, ‘I want to be healthy,’ then eat s*itty food and do crappy workouts.” This was Brady’s message to all the athletes.
