The ex-Las Vegas tight end, Foster Moreau has had a very turbulent off-season. The tight end has been recently diagnosed with cancer less than two months ago. As per Outsider, the tight end has been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. The tight end discovered that he had it while he was doing a routine physical for the New Orleans Saints. Interestingly, the tight end has an offer from them as well.
Even though he was diagnosed with cancer, the tight end seems very hopeful about his situation. he displayed immense bravery in the face of such a scary situation. He addressed the disease and mentioned that the free agency was life-changing for him as it helped him catch cancer. He also said,“I’m grateful for the support and thankful for people who have stood firm with me. There hasn’t been a single step I’ve taken without hundreds of people lighting the path before me, and I will continue to seek their guidance. That being said, I’ll go kick this thing’s ass and get back to doing what I love!” Interestingly, the tight end has had some brilliant performances in the past and has indeed been doing well at what he loves to do.
Foster Moreau’s performance in the league
So far, Foster has played 4 seasons in the league with the Raiders. In the 61 games he has played as a tight end, he has had a brilliant record. He has a total of 1019 yards with a total of 12 touchdowns. Over 4 seasons, he has only conceded 2 fumbles while making a whopping 91 catches. Furthermore, the tight end has been very beneficial for the team, considering that he was the 137th overall pick in the 2019 draft.
All in all, the tight end deserves the attention that has been coming his way in terms of the way he plays. Furthermore, considering his outlook, it remains to be seen how he’ll tackle his illness and make a return to the game as soon as he can.
