The NFL quarterback carousel is rotating at full speed right now. After Matthew Stafford and Carson Wentz, the next big-name player who can secure a move away from his current franchise is Houston Texans superstar Deshaun Watson.
The former Clemson Tigers man signed a mammoth 4-year extension with the AFC South franchise in 2020. His new deal is set to earn him north of $177.5 million ($111 million in guarantees). But after a poor season with the Texans, the 25-year old shot-caller is ready to move on in greener pastures.
Deshaun Watson and his entourage have given their approval for potential trade deals to 3 NFL teams – New York Jets, Miami Dolphins, and the Carolina Panthers. Let’s take a look at which team fits his Super Bowl aspirations best.

Deshaun Watson Trade
Jets, Dolphins, and Panthers lead the race for Houston Texans quarterback
BREAKING:
It's been confirmed by sources that Deshaun Watson would approve trades to the Jets, Dolphins, and Panthers.

Despite the Texans finishing with a 4-12 record in 2020, Deshaun Watson ended the regular season as the passing yards leader in the NFL.
He threw for 4,800+ yards with 33 passing TDs and 7 interceptions. He also had 444 rushing yards and 3 rushing touchdowns to his name.
Watson is definitely a Top-5 quarterback at the moment. He is sure to transform any NFL franchise into Championship contenders should he secure a move away from the Texans in the comings weeks.
The Panthers are reportedly favorites to land Watson this offseason. But a move to AFC East franchise Miami Dolphins will be the ‘best case scenario’ for the wantaway quarterback.

The Dolphins defense coached by Brian Flores is one of the best in the league. In addition to that, the East remains one of the ‘lesser’ competitive divisions in the AFC, especially since the departure of Tom Brady from New England.
However, they will have to part ways with starlet Tua Tagovailoa and their 2021 3rd overall pick (and further draft picks) in exchange for Watson’s signature.
On the other hand, a move to the Jets and Panthers will suit the Texans as they can acquire potential 2nd and 8th overall picks in exchange for their star man.

Lack of depth on those two rosters will guarantee the Texans that their future first or second picks are higher up the draft. There are clearly multiple outcomes to any potential Deshaun Watson trade deal. But one thing is more or less confirmed, he ain’t staying in Texas for long.
