The reigning Super Bowl Champion Odell Beckham Jr is one of the top prospects in free agency. After suffering a torn ACL in the last Super Bowl, the veteran underwent rehabilitation and has almost recovered well enough to get back on the field. Per reports, he has been receiving numerous offers from various teams, including the Las Vegas Raiders. Recently, the veteran was rumored to have been spotted in Vegas ahead of their second preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings. Could that mean the superstar is signing a deal with the Raiders?

Well, the theory cannot be rejected, as the franchise can look for more options despite having a formidable offensive unit. With Davante Adams already on the roster, the inclusion of OBJ would make a dream team.

“On the opening weekend of the #NFL preseason, Odell Beckham Jr. is in Las Vegas. This is home away from home for #OBJ With the #Raiders looking for someone to step up as the number two WR, this would be a perfect marriage.” the statement reads. However, there has been no clarity over the claims, and no official statements have been released yet.

Currently, the Raiders have a lethal unit of Darren Waller, Davante Adams, Hunter Renfrow, and Josh Jacobs. With the inclusion of OBJ, the players wouldn’t have to rely on each other as backup options. However, to acquire the LSU product, the Raiders will have to make salary cap adjustments. In the previous season, Beckham had 27 catches for 305 yards in the eight regular games for the Rams.

This year’s NFL training camps of the Raiders were filled with exceptional talents. Not to mention they had a pretty good offseason, and Davante Adams was their jackpot. He was the second-round pick of the Packers in the 2014 NFL draft. During the latest press conference, Adams praised the franchise and its work ethics. Most importantly, he shared his happiness to reconnect with Derek Carr.

“It’s been smooth. It’s obviously different any time you change places, but I’ve been enjoying it.” Adams said to the reporters. “It’s been really cool. Teammates welcomed me with open arms right out the gate. Obviously, a lot of familiar faces too. We got some old coaches that I was around, Mo [Drayton], Tyler Lancaster, Kyler Fackrell, a couple of guys that I knew already, and obviously Derek [Carr] too,” he added.

The 29-year-old is gearing up to play in his 9th NFL season. Under the new leadership, it will be interesting to see how much he justifies his five-year, $141.25 million contract.
