NFL analyst Adam Schefter thinks that there are two ways that the Aaron Rodgers trade will go. According to him, there are increasing signs of Rodgers leaving the Packers. But Schefter says it will all come down to the two options. First is whether he wants to play elsewhere, which would really be the New York Jets. The second option will be retirement.

“At some point, something’s gonna have to happen here. Because Derek Carr is waiting to see where Aaron Rodgers wants to go. These teams need decisions from the quarterbacks,” Schefter told ESPN.

The Jets were the frontrunners to get Rodgers if he decided to end his time at Lambeau Field. But Carr has also held talks with the franchise too. And they promised him a Hall of Fame status if he joins the team at the MetLife Stadium.
