Football is in Prime’s DNA. He is always around the sport. Currently, he is famously head coaching the Jackson State football team and making headlines doing so.
Sanders has been vocal about his view of the game and its diaspora. Coach sat down with former NFL players on the show ‘I am Athlete.’ It featured ex-players such as Chad Johnson, Brandon Marshall amongst others. A group of high-performing athletes discussed the culture, the differences, and the advances the game of football saw over the years.
Coach Prime doesn’t mince words
During the conversation, the topic shifts towards Hall of Fame inductions. Sanders, a first-ballot Hall of Famer himself, is proposing to go a step further. He calls it, the “Hall of Game.”
Prime said, “Hall of fame, then a Hall of Game. There are some players who deserve to be in the Hall of Fame but then there’s an upper room in there too.”
“There’s an upper room in anything. You got a club but then you got a VIP… You got the stadium then you got the luxury boxes. So it should be like that too if we’re gonna do the hall of fame,” the multiple Super Bowl winner added.
Deion Sanders Wants an ‘Upper Room’

And football is such an intense and intricate team sport that it is difficult to pinpoint the differences between values created at the highest level.

But Sanders believes that the Hall of Fame needs a further distinction. The coach said, “But shoot, It is Open House Now.”

Deion Sanders must know that no matter how many levels of distinction are created, he will remain among the few revolutionary athletes to have blessed the sport with their talent. Maybe that is why he can comfortably sit back and propose the “Hall of Game.”
