Deion Sanders is currently in the middle of a transition from prime time to coach prime. The 55-year-old NFL icon is creating all the buzz about his potential as a game caller. Following three wildly successful seasons at Jackson State University, Sanders will now be heading to the University of Colorado. Since the announcement of the move, the Hall of Famer has received mixed reactions from the fans. However, it seems like he has all the pull that he needs.
While some of the fans are not overly pleased with Sanders moving on from an HBCU team. It has not stopped people in the sporting realm to buy into the two-time Super Bowl champion’s trajectory. Mississippi Valley State head coach Vincent Dancy has stepped down from his role. Instead Dancy will be heading to Colorado in order to join Sanders’ coaching staff. Discussing the opportunity, Dancy highlighted the great relationship between him and coach prime. Explaining how grateful he was for this chance to succeed elsewhere in his life now.

Following the resignation, Jerryl Briggs, President of Mississippi Valley State has released a statement as well. “We are thankful to Coach Dancy for his service to MVSU,” Briggs added. “He has served Valley in various capacities, a coach, a leader of young men, and a mentor to countless individuals throughout his time. He will always be a part of the Valley family and we wish him well in his future endeavors,” he said.

Deion Sanders’ big move to Colorado
After leading JSU to two back-to-back Southwestern Athletic Conference championships, Coach Prime had all the attention of the footballing world. Many bigger colleges were reportedly looking to bring him on board. In the end, the University of Colorado got their man. For the 55-year-old, this presents a great opportunity. The Buffaloes are a step up when compared to JSU. The Pac-12 team will have more resources in addition to a greater appeal to attract bigger prospects. Especially now, with Sanders on their side.

Currently, Colorado sports has the worst record in Pac-12 (1-11) and is on a decline. But they would be hoping to see the former Cowboys player to replicate the magic he showed at Jackson State. Sanders himself is quite excited about the process. “I’m going to get back on a plane and go and have the biggest recruiting weekend they’ve ever had in the history of Colorado. That’s how it’s gonna go down,” Sanders on changing the program.
