Stephen A. Smith is one of the most renowned television personalities in America. Hate is the highest form of flattery and that is something Smith has been using against the Cowboys by degrading them in comparisons. Well, this time, Jerry Jones debunked the intentions behind Smith’s criticisms by calling him a “fraud”.

There is no doubt that Smith portrays himself as one of the biggest haters of the Dallas Cowboys. It was a long-time wish for Jerry Jones to have a one-on-one conversation with the anchor in front of a big fanbase and ask him to admit that he likes America’s team. For this sole purpose, Thursday’s First Take was broadcasted in a unique format, with Stephen Smith and Jerry Jones going live from a helicopter.

They made their way to The Star in Frisco. The 79-year-old businessman believes that Smith is a big Cowboys fan deep inside. All he cares about is getting attention by mocking the franchise.

“I want him there, the prodigal son. We’ll let him right back in,” Jones said of his desire to see Smith hop onto the Cowboys’ bandwagon. “What I’m saying is deep down you’re a fraud! You’re a real Cowboy fan…We’re in the hot sun, we’re having a walk-through here today, and we’ve got thousands of fans out here. And I know they’re not here to watch Stephen A.!” he added to his explanation.

Jerry Jones wants to win ahead of his birthday

America’s team owner Jerry Jones will soon turn 80, and this time the businessman wants to celebrate on a high note. He believes that he had faced enough playoff losses, and it’s a long time ago(26 years) that they got to hold the Lombardi trophy.

While speaking in the opening press conference, Jones said, “I told them I’ve got a birthday coming up here real quick, and I don’t have time to have a bad time,”. Moreover, he mentioned that to make a Super Bowl contention, the team has to be in the playoffs.
